It's melancholic R&B, but then again, it's not. With occasional garage influences, Shadi himself describes his style as ‘niche pop’. The artist is one of the latest talents signed by the Dutch label Top Notch. Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Almeloër has three singles to his name and you can hear him on tracks with sor, GIAN, and regularly with Fresku. Despite his strong connection to the music world, he lives in the city of Twente far from the center of the music industry. "I was just talking to my Uber driver about it. He didn't understand why I was still living there. But it’s a double-edged sword because I have virtually no stimuli there. That often brings very nice things."
