¡baila mami!
connecting the youth through salsa classes in times of pandemic.
During corona times, we could all use a little more happy music and connection. After following a salsa course, I came back to my motto. “Can’t we do this too, but better?”
We’ve noticed a large demand of young people admiring Latin culture and wanting to learn salsa and bachata. But there’s a barrier. It’s scary. What if we can learn in a trusted environment?
With acquaintance Orville ‘Tchozn’ Small, ex-world champion in Salsa dancing, we gathered a little group that came together every Tuesday night for weeks.
Unfortunately, like many things at the time, we got stopped by the corona measures. But we had a blast, and maybe one day we’ll make it happen again.
